Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Asheville is seeking a Banquet Cook to uphold high-quality standards in preparing and serving all banquet foods. The starting rate is $20 per hour, with a 2 PM shift from 12 PM to 8 PM.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen sanitation, setting stations before service, and preparing breakfast and lunch dishes. Candidates should be flexible with nights, weekends, and holidays, and must learn all menu items produced by their station.

Qualifications

• Advanced knife skills required.
• Prior culinary experience required.
• Familiar with all cooking techniques.
• Familiar with batch and quantity cooking.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Flexible scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
• Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
• Knowledge of breakfast and lunch preparation.
• Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
• Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
• Prepare a mixture of buffet and plated style items.
• Production of orders to include grilling, roasting, and baking fish, steaks, chicken and shellfish.
• Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times.

Sign on Bonus: $1,000.00 paid across first 90 days $250 after 30 days, $250 after 60 days, $500 after 90 days
