You will maintain the Convention Services Book, coordinate needs between clients and internal teams, and help prepare BEOs while updating menus and diagrams. Applicants should be at least 21, have a high school diploma, with 1 year of catering/event planning experience and proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in catering and/or event planning role preferred.
• Delphi software experience is required.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain the vision of outstanding guest service standards for the Nugget and Convention Catering department.
• Maintain the Convention Services Book with up-to-date information and revisions.
• Coordinate needs between in-house guests, in-house departments, sales and convention services/catering.
• Prepare and follow up on BEOs, menu updates, and the catering sales process.
• Communicate professionally with clients and all staff including Sr. Catering Manager and Banquet Managers.
• Knowledge of property, space, capacities, and menus; assist with Delphi accounts, bookings and diagrams.
• Assist with administrative duties, correspondence and record-keeping for Convention Services/Catering and Banquet Department.

FUNCTION:

Works directly with the VP of Food & Beverage, Sr. Catering Manager, and Banquet Managers in creating an outstanding guest experience at all assigned events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow and maintain the clear vision of outstanding guest service standards for the Nugget and the Convention Catering department.
• Accurately perform administrative duties for the department including, maintaining accuracy of the Convention Services Book ensuring the departmentsareuptodatewithcurrentinformationi.e.,revisions,popups,cancellations via email, change logs and hard copies.
• Coordinate requested needs between in-house guest, in-house department, sales department, and convention services/catering as assigned.
• Ability to maintain the catering sales process, i.e., correspondence, BEO preparation, and follow-up calls, menu updates.
• Effectively and professionally communicate with clients and all members of the staff including, Director of Convention Services & Banquets, Executive Chef, Banquet Manager, Convention Services Managers and Directors of Sales.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of property, space, capacities, concept/food style (menus)
• Assist with creating and maintaining Delphi accounts, bookings & diagrams.
• Assist managers with administrative duties, i.e., correspondence such as introduction, confirmation and thank you letters.
• Proactively contact clients for information, guarantees and diagrams.
• Assist with proper record keeping; inventory for Convention Services / Catering Department
• Assist with proper procedures for ordering rental and purchases as requested for Convention Services / Catering and Banquet Department.
• Assist with creating files and maintaining files for managers in the department.
• Assist in ensuring that accurate and thorough BEO’s are prepared and distributed.
• Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
• Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
• Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
• Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
• Regular predictable attendance is required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 21 years of age.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum1yearexperienceincateringand/oreventplanningrolepreferred. Minimum 1 year experience with Delphi software required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs. may be required depending on the position.

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
