Job summary

The Boca Raton is seeking a Full Time Cleaner to support banquet operations at Boca Raton, FL. You will manage the distribution and control of banquet equipment, linen, and supplies in storerooms, assist Banquet Captains and Servers, and maintain clean, organized storage areas.

Responsibilities include labeling foods, issuing equipment per policy, and helping with waste disposal. Strong English reading/writing and basic hospitality experience are preferred; lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Sufficient manual dexterity to lift boxes and materials.
• Basic mathematical skills for delivery amounts and quantities.
• Basic reading and writing to read equipment, linen, and food label orders.
• Must read and write in English and follow directions willingly.
• Hospitality and/or storeroom/warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with an Electric Hand Jack is a plus.

Summary

The ideal candidate assists the Banquet Storeroom Manager in the distribution & control of operating supplies & equipment directly associated with and that are required by Banquet Captains, Banquet Servers, and all related Departments.

Essential Functions

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Responsible for the control and distribution of banquet equipment, linen, etc. in and out of the banquet storage areas.
• Ensure the safe keeping of all items, operating supplies, and equipment directly associated with the operation held in designated storage areas.
• Keep designated storage areas organized, clean, and tidy at all times.
• Dispose of waste materials and packaging cleanly and efficiently.
• Make and distribute food labels for all functions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Issue all equipment in accordance with department policies.
• Must be able to fully converse, read, and write in English.
• Have some working knowledge/experience within the Hotel & Restaurant Industry.
• Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, or bend for a duration of a shift (at least 8 hours), and must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Cleaning/Polishing Equipment if necessary.

Internal Relationships

Reports to this position (titles): Banquet Storeroom Manager, Banquet Managers, Banquet Director

External Relationships

Has regular contact with banquet team.

Physical Requirements

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
