Job summary

MGM Springfield in Massachusetts seeks a Banquet Setup Houseperson to transform event spaces and ensure every detail is perfect before guests arrive. You will work in a dynamic, guest-focused environment, supporting flawless banquet experiences and teamwork across departments.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ years in fast-paced banquet setups, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and legal eligibility to work in the United States. The role offers a starting hourly rate with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience in fast-paced, high-volume banquet set up or porter experience or equivalent.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set banquet rooms as per diagrams and BEOs.
• Inspect rooms to make sure rooms are clean before and after functions.
• Ensure set-up is correct according to specifications on the floor plan and ready 30 minutes prior to start time of event.
• Place signs and refresh meeting rooms.
• Clean and dismantle room set-ups.
• Keep storage areas in proper order.
• Gather all equipment needed for designated set up.
