Job summary

Valor Hospitality in Cincinnati is seeking a Banquet Setup Associate to properly set, clean and maintain function rooms, service corridors, storerooms and public areas while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work with Sales and F&B teams, check BEOs, set rooms, manage equipment, support servers during service, and uphold safety and sanitation standards. A high school diploma and 6 months banquet experience preferred. Competitive benefits and Daily Pay are offered.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Six months of experience in hotel or convention center banquet services.
• Knowledge of banquet operations and AV equipment preferred.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.
• Able to lift 20–40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Good communication with guests and team.

Responsibilities

• Check servers’ and house person’s BEOs to ensure accuracy.
• Set rooms, buffets, and tables according to BEO specs.
• Check electrical hook-ups and tape down exposed cords.
• Assist during service and respond to requests from servers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storerooms.
• Attend staff set-up and technical training.
• Organize the banquet hall for productivity and safety.
• Enforce safety and sanitation procedures, including OSHA requirements.
• Communicate concerns to the Banquet Manager.
