Job summary

The HEI Hotels & Resorts property in The Woodlands is seeking a Banquet Assistant to support the Banquet Manager in preparing for banquet events and ensuring a positive guest experience. This role requires physical setup work, attention to detail, and reliable teamwork to deliver seamless events.

Responsibilities include setting up meeting rooms, transporting tables and chairs, replenishing supplies, breaking down spaces after events, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items and standing for long periods.
• Clear verbal and written communication with guests and team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced banquet setting.
• Strong teamwork and follow-through on setup/breakdown.
• Willingness to comply with attendance and shift requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.
• Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down all meeting rooms and return to storage area for next function.
• Maintain cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms to stay presentable.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
