Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Banquet Setup attendant responsible for efficiently setting up, tearing down and cleaning banquet facilities for guest events and functions. If you have great attention to detail, take direction well, and want a job that will have you up and moving, this might be just the job for you!

You will set tables and chairs to meet function specifications, assist with AV equipment setup, and work with the hotel team to create a memorable service experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of meeting room setup, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform under pressure for extended periods while remaining professional.
• Flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for a majority of the shift.
• Able to lift, carry, pull and push up to 75 lbs intermittently.
• Experience with AV equipment and related technology.

Responsibilities

• Set tables and chairs to meet function specifications.
• Clean meeting space including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing and washing walls.
• Maintain banquet area in a clean, organized and safe condition.
• Clear and secure banquet rooms at function end and during shift end.
• Store and manage equipment after events.
• Set up AV/lighting equipment using controls for lights, music and screens.
• Assist with plating and delivering meals to banquet guests when needed.
• Collaborate with hotel team to deliver a memorable guest experience.
