Job summary

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Houseman to manage the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet/meeting rooms in our New Orleans property. You will ensure rooms meet guest specifications, maintain cleanliness, and prepare amenities for events with a strong emphasis on guest experience.

Candidates should have banquet/houseman experience, be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous Banquet/Houseperson experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Regularly stand and/or walk during shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean banquet/function rooms per guest specs or diagrams.
• Provide professional, friendly and engaging service throughout events.
• Break down rooms after meetings and organize supplies and linens.
• Arrange writing pads, water and amenities per Fairmont standards.
• Ensure carpet, linens, chairs, surfaces and glass are clean and presentable.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
