Job summary

The Country Club of York is seeking a dependable Banquet Houseperson to support banquet setup, room turnover, and event operations. This role involves lifting and moving tables, chairs, and equipment under tight timelines, ensuring spaces meet standards.

You’ll work closely with Front of House and kitchen teams, follow function sheets, and maintain spaces inside and outside the clubhouse. Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Be reliable, prepared, and ready for sustained physical work.
• Follow function sheets, room diagrams, and verbal instructions.
• Lift and move tables, chairs, and event equipment safely.
• Stand, walk, and perform repetitive lifting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, reset, and tear down banquet, meeting, and event rooms per sheets.
• Independently lift, carry, push, pull, and position equipment and linens.
• Return furniture and supplies to designated storage after events.
• Load/unload and organize event furniture and supplies safely.
• Support banquet and kitchen teams during meetings and breaks.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet spaces and storage areas.
• Perform light maintenance and report repair needs.
• Safely operate golf carts for setup and transportation needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
