Epicurean Hotel in Tampa, FL is seeking a friendly Banquet Setup Attendant (on-call) to prepare and break down banquet spaces for events, following event orders and safety standards. This role requires a proactive, guest-focused approach and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will set tables, arrange chairs, check AV equipment, maintain clean work areas, and coordinate with the banquet team to ensure flawless service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Previous experience in banquet or event setup within a hotel or similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Event Setup & Breakdown: Set up and break down banquet spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, stages, and other equipment per event specifications and BEOs.
• Event Room & Equipment Maintenance: Report any light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities and maintain inventory of banquet supplies.
• Guest Services & Professionalism: Greet guests, assist with special requests, and communicate professionally using hotel devices or apps.
• Physical Demands: Sit/stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work long hours as needed.

This role ensures that all events meet client expectations by following Banquet Event Orders (EOs) and providing exceptional guest service.
