Job summary

Newport Hospitality in the United States is seeking motivated Banquet Setup Team Members to prepare venues for weddings, corporate events, and conferences. You will transform spaces, arrange tables, linens, staging, and decor, ensuring cleanliness and presentation before guests arrive.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and varying shifts in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred and good physical condition.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, varying shifts (24/7 operation).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Indoor/outdoor event environments with varying temperatures.
• Commitment to health, sanitation and safety protocols, PCI compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set up event spaces with tables, chairs, linens, staging and decor per client specs and ensure clean presentation before guest arrival.
• Post-event breakdown, cleanup, and secure storage of equipment after events.
• Handle equipment and inventory with care; maintain organized storage areas.
• Adhere to all health, sanitation and safety standards and mitigate hazards.

• Event Setup & Presentation: Set up tables, chairs, linens, staging, and decor according to event specifications. Ensure venue cleanliness and presentation before guest arrival.
• Post-Event Breakdown & Maintenance: Efficiently remove and store equipment, thoroughly clean event spaces, and report any damages.
• Equipment & Inventory Handling: Safely move equipment and maintain organized storage areas.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety protocols, including PCI compliance, and mitigate hazards.
