Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee seeks a part-time Banquet/Event Setup teammate to prepare and restore banquet spaces for meetings, weddings, and special events. You will arrange tables, linens, AV gear, and move equipment while preserving the property’s high standards of service.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet rooms for meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events according to specifications and floor plans.
• Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, linens, and audiovisual equipment to create exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and presentation-ready while upholding high service standards.
• Collaborate with Banquets, Catering, and Events teams to execute seamless transitions and accommodate last-minute requests.
• Safely move and transport banquet equipment and supplies with focus on safety and efficiency.

What you will be doing

• Set up and break down banquet rooms for meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events according to detailed event specifications and floor plans.
• Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, linens, and audiovisual equipment to create exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and presentation-ready while maintaining The Pfister's high standards of service and attention to detail.
• Work closely with the Banquets, Catering, and Events teams to execute seamless event transitions and accommodate last-minute requests.
• Safely move and transport banquet equipment and supplies, maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety and operational efficiency.

Position Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow event diagrams and setup instructions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Previous banquet, event setup, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
