Job summary

The Abbey Resort is seeking a Banquet Set Up Attendant to join our events team on an on-call, part-time basis. You will set up tables, chairs, and equipment for events, ensure spaces are clean and well-organized, and assist with service during functions. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.

Compensation: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at a full service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva. BASIC FUNCTION

Set-Up Attendants are responsible for arranging tables, chairs, and other furniture according to the event plan; setting up audio-visual equipment, portable bars, and other necessary items; ensuring the event space is clean and presentable before and after the event; and addressing any last-minute changes or requests from clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Some F&B experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to transport, handle and/or lift 30 lbs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Arranging and dismantling tables, chairs, and other furniture according to event specifications

• Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
• Maintain open communication with management and other employees.
• Be well organized and efficient

ENVIRONMENT

Indoor and outdoor environments, working for as long as a function last. Indoor working conditions include walking on a carpeted areas and vinyl areas. Outdoor working conditions include walking on cement and grass.
