Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is hiring for banquet/event setup roles. You will prepare and arrange event spaces, coordinate with catering, and ensure smooth banquet operations. The role requires physical activity, attention to detail, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables, chairs, linens and equipment per BEOs.
• Arrange staging, dance floors, podiums and A/V equipment.
• Disassemble setups and store equipment after events.
• Maintain cleanliness of banquet spaces before and after events.
• Collaborate with Banquet Manager and catering staff on layouts.

Requirements

We are seeking passionate, service-oriented, positive and hard-working individuals with a love for health and wellness, and an excitement for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Room Setup & Breakdown:
• Set up tables, chairs, linens, and other event equipment according to banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Arrange staging, dance floors, podiums, and audio-visual equipment as requested.
• Disassemble setups and return equipment to designated storage areas after events.
• Cleanliness & Maintenance:
• Maintain the cleanliness of banquet spaces, ensuring they are presentable before and after events.
• Inspect and report any damaged or missing equipment to the Banquet Manager.
• Event Preparation:
• Collaborate with the Banquet Manager and catering staff to confirm event layouts and requirements.
• Ensure proper placement of signage, decorations, and other event materials.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Follow safety protocols while handling furniture, equipment, and electrical systems.
• Ensure all setups comply with local fire and safety regulations.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the banquet team and other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Respond to last-minute changes or adjustments to setups promptly and efficiently.
