Oak View Group in Grand Junction, CO is seeking Banquet Servers for a variety of events at the Grand Junction Convention Center and related venues. You will provide superior guest service, support catering, and adapt to guest requests during meetings, weddings, concerts and other events.

This part-time role pays $16.00–$20.00 hourly and is tip eligible. Benefits include a 401(k) plan with matching and paid leave accrual for part-time staff; evening, weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year in events, banquets, or restaurant settings preferred.
• Banquet server experience is a plus.

Position Summary

Our in-house culinary team is seeking additional Banquet Servers for a variety of events. Event types include but are not limited to meetings, weddings, concessions, ticketed shows, and concerts. Banquet servers will be responsible for providing superior customer service to all guests, fulfilling event needs as promised as well as adapting to individual guest requests.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00 - $20.00 and is tip eligible.

About The Venue

Located in Downtown Grand Junction, CO, at the recently renovated Grand Junction Convention Center, which also services the Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park and the Historic Avalon Theatre . This position will have opportunities to work events at all three venues and serve concessions at Stocker Stadium.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exemplary guest service through all forms of banquet service, carving stations, bartending, running food to tables during events, buffets, and plated service, and replenishing product and supplies in compliance with event standards.
• Ensure that events are properly equipped and executed by transporting, pulling, setting up, and breaking down, as well as returning equipment to designated storage areas in compliance with event standards and instructions.
• Perform side work by helping to provide a safe and clean work environment.
• Clean, organize, and restock equipment/products returning from catering events.
• Understand safety responsibilities as well as environmental laws by following established procedures, policies, training, and involvement activities.
• Have a high level of social contact. Work closely with staff and deal often with patrons .
• Provide excellent service to all patrons.
• Identify problems and review information.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
• Previous experience as a server in a banquet operation is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and select holidays.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects often.
