Job summary

Oak View Group seeks a Banquet Server to deliver exceptional guest experiences during events at our premium venues. You will provide professional, fine-dining-level service, coordinate with kitchen and event staff, and ensure timely delivery of courses while maintaining a polished, guest-focused ambiance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or strongly preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects; able to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and select holidays.

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands banquet event orders.
• Provides fine-dining-level food and beverage service to guests for all events, consistent with standards of service.
• Initiates and maintains friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring needs are anticipated and met.
• Setup and maintain both food and beverage stations in various locations throughout the building.
• Maintain an inventory for both food and beverage stations.
• Maintain all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
• Participate in setup and cleanup of service items.
• Work independently during slower times.

Position Summary

A Banquet Server plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing professional and efficient food and beverage service during events. Banquet Server's primary function is to ensure that all guests feel welcomed and attended to, following event specifications and service standards. From the setup of banquet spaces to the seamless execution of meal service, Banquet Servers maintain an acute focus on detail and hospitality. Banquet Servers work collaboratively with kitchen and event staff to ensure the timely delivery of courses, adapt to guest needs in real-time, and uphold the ambiance and quality of the event. Beyond serving, Banquet Servers contribute to the overall success of events by maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the service. Banquet Servers reset spaces for subsequent events and ensure that all equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately. Whether it's a formal gala, a corporate event, or a wedding reception, this applies. Banquet Servers are integral in creating a positive impression of the venue and event host, embodying professionalism, efficiency, and a guest-focused attitude.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$22.00 and is tip eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 6 months to 1 year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often. Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be punctual with consistent attendance.
• Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers.
