Job Description: Banquet Server

Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager and Director of Food & Beverage, position is non-exempt

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Passion for the People, Place, and Culture of our community, love of Restaurants and Guest Service required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an event/banquet server in a restaurant setting
• TiPS Alcohol service certification and SafeStaff Certificate of Completion or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal

THE ROLE

The Banquet Server reports directly to the F&B Manager, with oversight from the Director of F&B. You will be responsible for meeting hotel standards in service, understanding client needs at various events, and exceeding guest expectations while maintaining professionalism.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Uphold the company's principles of People, Place, and Character
• Collaborate effectively with team members and leaders
• Share the history and local efforts of the hotel
• Ensure timely and detailed setup for events
• Adapt to last-minute changes confidently
• Review BEOs and prepare accordingly
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and support staff
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
• Learn and execute proper service techniques
• Assist in other departments as needed to grow skills

Additional Requirements

• Stand and walk continuously for 4-5 hours
• Lift and carry items up to 30 lbs
• Negotiate varied floor surfaces safely
• Handle hot and cold items safely
