Job summary

Stanly Ranch, Auberge Collection, is seeking a Banquet Server to orchestrate seamless dining experiences for events and guest gatherings. You will be part of a service team delivering hospitality with attention to detail across multiple dining venues in a luxury Napa setting.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, anticipating needs, handling orders and payments, and coordinating with kitchen and service staff to ensure flawless event execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of server experience required.
• Must obtain Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire.
• RBS - Alcohol Training Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to work weekends (Fri–Sun).
• Must be highly detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests with a smile and name when possible.
• Anticipate guests' service needs and preferences; act on them.
• Present and process checks, handle payments, and manage gratuities.
• Set tables per event type and service standards; ensure quality supplies.

• Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
• Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences, and acting on them whenever possible.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
• Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific processes to resolve issues, delight, and build trust. Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
• Present physical and accurate check and process payment, adhering to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures including added and received gratuity
• Answer questions on menu selections, and check with kitchen staff whenever additional clarification is necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Set tables according to the type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards
• Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol
• Record transactions in the system at the time of order
• Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment
• Follow company and department policies and procedures
• Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist

The starting range for this position is $27.00. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

• Must be of minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Must be able to adhere to timelines in completion of set-ups.
• Must be able to work well under pressure
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
• Must be highly detail orientated
• At least 1 year of server experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
• Must be availableto work weekends; Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
