Job summary

Lanier Islands is seeking energetic banquet servers to provide superior guest service at weddings, meal functions and large events in Buford, GA. You will set up for events, serve courses, attend to guest needs and uphold professional service standards.

Responsibilities include proper station setup, serving beverages, clearing tables, accommodating dietary requests, and following safety procedures. This part-time role offers dynamic event environments and teamwork within a professional dining

Responsibilities

• Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Properly sets-up work station, including tables, chairs, supplies, place settings, side-stations, etc.
• Properly serves wine and alcohol per alcohol training and certification standards.
• Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware.
• Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed
• Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.
• Clears and resets tables.
• Properly executes all event formats (reception, buffet, seated dinner, stations, etc.)
• Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order.
• Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.
• Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Carries out closing procedures and side work.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.

Lanier Islands' Banquet Servers are motivated and energetic individuals who provide superior guest service at weddings, meal functions and other large events. In their role, the banquet servers are responsible for setting up for an event, providing outstanding food service and attending to the special needs of our guests as part of a professional service team
