Responsibilities

• Deliver banquet food orders following the sequence of service.
• Monitor Guest needs and promptly fulfill requests in their function.
• Participate as a team member to ensure a smoothly run operation with high customer service standards.
• Assist with event setup, preparation, and closing including setup, packing away tables, cloths and place settings.
• Respond to Guest questions and concerns and direct to management as needed.
• Communicate dietary needs and special requests to kitchen staff.
• Maintain a positive, professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Provide prompt, courteous service according to departmental standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitary practices to keep areas hazard-free.
• Stay knowledgeable about all menu items and service requirements.

Position Summary:The Banquet Server is responsible for providing banquet dining service and special event support to all Guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner displaying a high standard of customer service. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.Essential Functions:1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.2. Deliver food orders following the sequence of service. Monitor Guest needs ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled in their function assignment.3. Participate as a Team Member with staff in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of customer service.4. Assist with event preparation, set up, and closing, including, but not limited to setting up and packing away tables, table cloths and place settings, and buffets.5. Respond to Guest questions and concerns, and direct concerns to appropriate management.6. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to kitchen.7. Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, and perform duties with a professional appearance and mannerism.8. Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to Guests according to departmental standards.9. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices. Ensure that all areas are kept clean and free of any potential hazards.10. Maintain knowledge of all available menu items and service requirements.Minimum Qualifications:1. High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.2. Prior restaurant or banquet serving experience preferred.3. Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.4. Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form.5. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including holidays, weekends and evenings.6. Must be at least 18 years of age.7. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.Physical Requirements:1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.2. Ability to move up to 250 lbs. using a hand truck or flatbed cart with or without assistance.3. Ability to lift, maneuver, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.4. Must be able to bend and reach to a height of six (6) feet with or without assistance.5. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged time periods.6. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
