Job summary

Thunder Valley Casino Resort is seeking an Assistant Supervisor of Internal Maintenance and Uniforms to ensure clean, safe casino floors, parking lots, and proper uniform handling.

You will supervise team members, assign daily tasks, enforce policies, participate in interviews, and help develop training and incentive programs.

This role requires 21+ years, HS diploma, and ability to obtain tribal gaming license; strong communication and multi-tasking are essential in a fast-paced venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial or housekeeping required.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment, chemicals and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management.
• Computer skills with basic knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Ability to multi-task and motivate/direct team members.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for duration of shift; able to work in dimly lit, noisy smoky environment.

Position Summary:The Assistant Supervisor of Internal Maintenance and Uniforms ensures the maintenance and cleanliness of casino floor, parking lots and oversees the Uniform Department. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.Essential Functions:1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.2. Oversee job performance of Team Members to meet departmental standards. Ensure projects and daily assignments are completed accurately and in the most efficient manner.3. Implement and enforce department and company policies and procedures on a daily basis.4. Assign and monitor daily tasks for Team Members in Internal Maintenance and Uniforms.5. Prioritize tasks according to staffing and facility needs.6. Maintain a safe environment internally and externally.7. Conduct interviews for Internal Maintenance and Uniforms Team Member candidates.8. Assist Internal Maintenance/Uniforms management with developing and enhancing Team Member training and incentive programs.9. Initiate, enforce and maintain the corrective counseling system.10. Submit HotSOS requests and respond to requests submitted through the department’s cell phone.11. Complete applicable paperwork.12. Be accountable for use and maintenance of all cleaning equipment, radios, and keys.13. Responsible for maintaining the Hazard Communication Standard for your area.14. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals.Minimum Qualifications:Previous experience in the janitorial and/or housekeeping field is required, including a working knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment, chemicals, and maintenance procedures.High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.Computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Ability to multi-task.Ability to motivate, develop and direct Team MembersMust be at least 21 years of age.Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.Physical Requirements:Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.Requires the ability to use and carry job related equipment.Ability to work in dimly lit conditions and a noisy smoky environment.Have an eye for detail.Requires the physical ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
