Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Server to join our team. The role focuses on greeting guests, delivering attentive service, and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining area for events and everyday service.

You will work with a team to ensure high standards of hospitality, adhere to safety and brand guidelines, and support kitchen and front-of-house operations as needed. A strong customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must obtain TIPS certification within 30 days (if not certified).
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the dining area.
• Maintain a proactive guest service approach at all times.
• Assist with seating guests as needed.
• Provide fast, friendly professional and responsive customer service to hotel & restaurant guests & staff.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with standards and in a professional courteous manner.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
• Adhere to Brand Standards regarding Food and Beverage and Service.
• Assist with the setup and cleanliness of the Restaurant.
• Assist with clearing and setup of tables.
• Assist with restocking of supplies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with Management and other Team Members.
• Use POS system as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/manager.
