Job summary

Avista Resort in Myrtle Beach is seeking a Banquet Server to provide food and beverage service at weddings, conferences, and corporate events. You will set up banquet spaces, greet guests, serve meals, and assist with bars and dessert stations to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Event setup: arrange tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware and décor according to event plans.
• Prepare buffet stations, beverage stations and place settings.
• Guest service: greet guests, ensure comfort, serve plated meals, beverages and appetizers.
• Refill drinks, clear plates and maintain tidy tables.
• Answer guest questions about menu items.
• Food & beverage handling: follow foodsafety and sanitation guidelines; deliver dishes from kitchen to banquet area; assist with setting up and breaking down bars or dessert stations.
• Event support: follow instructions from banquet captains or event supervisors; coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service; adapt to event changes or guest needs quickly.
• Post-event duties: clear all tables and remove dishes; clean and reset the banquet room; return equipment, linens, and supplies to proper storage; communicate any issues or guest feedback to the supervisor.
