Job summary

The Banquet Server at The Bartolotta Restaurants is responsible for setting up banquet events, carrying trays, serving guests, and assisting with event cleanup to ensure client needs are met.

You will work daily events, assist with food and beverage service, coordinate with catering staff, and maintain a professional appearance. Weekend, evenings, and holidays availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen years old (at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages).
• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Must successfully complete restaurant training course.

Responsibilities

• Daily set-up and breakdown of food and beverage products for catered events.
• Food preparation for daily activities and scheduled events.
• Serving food and beverage product to event participants, vendors, and host clients.
• Assist with event coordination; table set-ups, place settings, serving areas and discarded products.
• Assist with event clean up; on-site or off-site, all plates, dishes, silverware, glassware, linens, chairs, and garbage.
• Assist with moving catering products back to catering kitchen.
• Print food and product labels and signage for buffets.
• Maintain participation awareness of upcoming catering events and event orders.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance and uniform.
• Communicate effectively with guests and managers to handle last minute requests.
• Communicate effectively with Catering Director and Chefs; assist when needed.
