Job summary

White House Banquets & Event Center in Anaheim, CA is seeking friendly Banquet Servers for part-time, event-based work. You will help set up, greet guests, serve meals, and assist with breakdown, delivering polished, attentive service at weddings, quinceañeras and corporate events.

Ideal candidates are reliable, presentable, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior banquet or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; a Food Handler Card is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, and move throughout the duration of an event
• Ability to lift and carry trays, bus tubs, banquet equipment, and event supplies as needed
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
• Food Handler Card preferred or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces according to event layouts, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, flatware, and service areas
• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout the event
• Serve plated meals, buffet service, beverages, desserts, and other menu items as needed
• Clear plates, glassware, and service items efficiently and professionally
• Assist with cake cutting, dessert service, coffee service, and other event service needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in guest areas, service stations, and back-of-house areas
• Respond to guest requests with professionalism and a positive attitude
• Support the event timeline by following direction from event managers and captains
• Assist with event breakdown, cleaning, and resetting spaces after events
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and venue service standards at all times
