Job summary

The Vanguard Hotel in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Banquet Server to join Hotel Equities’ team. You will service, set up and break down banquet functions, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to event plans.

Responsibilities include reading BEOs, setting up tables and buffets, greeting guests, and performing side work. A high school diploma and experience with major hotel brands are preferred; the role requires mobility and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
• Ability to read BEOs and set up banquet functions.
• Must be able to lift/move heavy banquet equipment and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Service, set-up and break down assigned functions safely.
• Read BEOs and prepare setup and equipment for each function.
• Set tables and buffets with proper presentation and equipment.
• Greet and serve guests according to policies and procedures.
• Complete event paperwork and perform side work during/after events.
• Keep banquet areas neat, clean, and well-organized for next events.
