Job summary

UCLA Catering provides catering services at the Luskin Conference Center, Housing & Hospitality meeting and event spaces, and locations around the greater UCLA campus. The Banquet Server role supports courteous service and delivery for events, ensuring items are loaded, delivered, and presented per client needs.

Site setups follow BEOs, with breakdowns and returns to the catering production area. The position requires interaction with diverse guests in fast-paced environments, food/beverage prep

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to interact with guests, team members, and managers in a busy setting.
• Capable of working as part of a team and maintaining punctual attendance.
• Reading recipes and understanding portion sizes is needed.
• Adherence to safety and sanitation standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and deliver food and beverages to banquet events.
• Set up sites per Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), then break down and return items to the production area.
• Provide courteous customer service and maintain a clean workstation.
• Assist with basic food prep and beverage service as needed.
