Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma not required.
• Experience: 1 year.
• Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Experience working in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Presents oneself professionally, in line with hotel environment.
• Strong commitment to USC’s Unifying Values.
• Valid CA driver's license required.
• Position will participate in the DMV Pull Notice System.
• A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional delivery of food and beverage service to faculty, staff, students and guests.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide suggestions to customers based on established menus.
• Provide basic hot and cold food and beverage preparation service from recipes.
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Check orders for accuracy before presenting to customers.
• Maintain presentation standards for food and beverages.
• Attend to customers during dining experiences and provide excellent customer service.
• Conduct service transactions.
• Accept and process payments following policies and guidelines.
• Stock and maintain supplies, food, items, and utensils.
• Assist in set-up and break-down of dining room/event.
• Deliver food items to various locations on campus and at offsite events.
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities.
• Bus tables as necessary.
• Assist in kitchen sanitation program.
• Adhere to health, safety, and university rules and regulations.
• Attend meetings and report to station on time.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
