Job summary

The Westin Poinsett - Greenville, SC is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to assist the banquet manager, host guests, and serve food and beverages during events. This role emphasizes teamwork, guest service, and adherence to service standards.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers; be a team player.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to understand and promote menu items.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars and expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages per Supervisor instructions for consistency.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room for the next function according to Supervisor’s specifications.
