Job summary

InnVentures, owner of Embassy Suites Anchorage, is seeking a personable Banquet Server to ensure guests enjoy a quality dining experience while away from home. You will deliver attentive service, maintain menu knowledge, and coordinate with hotel departments to support memorable events.

The ideal candidate has prior food service experience, strong communication skills, and is able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

Previous food handling, fast food or serving experience is required.
You must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit, and some positions may require an Alcohol Server’s Permit.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
This role requires you to stand and move around for an entire shift and lift at least 25 pounds.
Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Serve restaurant and room service guests attentively and efficiently.
Maintain complete knowledge of the menu and be flexible to meet guest requests.
Apply problem solving skills to resolve guest issues to their satisfaction.
Complete guest orders and accurately collect payments.
Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen.
Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
