Job summary

The Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY is seeking a Banquet Server to join our events team. You will assist banquet staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests during events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of food service experience.
• At least 1 year of beverage service experience.
• Competent at working independently on recurring projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages.
• Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed.
• Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements.
• Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
• Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, dishware, glassware, and flatware.
• Follow all company safety policies; report accidents and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
• Ensure uniform and professional appearance; protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests; anticipate service needs; assist guests with disabilities; thank guests.
• Support team to reach common goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Management.
