Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Banquet Server to manage event service, setups, and guest interactions. You will oversee banquet staging areas, ensure smooth sequence of service, and support staff to deliver a memorable experience.

Responsibilities include serving beverages and plated meals, maintaining tables and stations, and upholding food safety standards while providing exceptional hospitality during receptions and events.

Qualifications

• Secondary school degree preferred and/or previous work experience in service for at least 2 years.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet staging areas.
• Set up, replenish, and break down coffee breaks, receptions, buffets, and plated events.
• Serve beverages, including coffee, tea, cocktails, and wine.
• Serve plated meals and passed hors d’oeuvres.
• Ensure guest satisfaction at all events and accommodate special requests.
