Job summary

Sodexo at University of Florida campus seeks a Banquet Server to provide food and beverage service for catered events, meetings, luncheons, and dinners. You’ll work with the Banquet Captain and Supervisor, supporting setup, service, and breakdown with professionalism and attentiveness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, hospitality experience preferred, and valid TIPS and food handler certifications as required by state law.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous banquet, catering, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Must maintain a valid TIPS certification and comply with state training requirements.
• A food handler certification may also be required by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage services at catered events.
• Assist with event setup, service execution and breakdown.
• Work under Banquet Captain and Banquet Supervisor.
• Adapt to event size and service style as needed by the client.
