Job summary

Hilton New Orleans Airport is seeking a banquet server to deliver friendly, timely food and beverage service for functions and events at the hotel venue. The role involves setting banquet tables, carrying trays up to 50 lbs, serving guests, and clearing tables to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will also maintain station cleanliness, restock condiments, and adhere to liquor regulations. Prior food service experience and a high school diploma are preferred, with a neat appearance and reliable

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items. Some wine knowledge.
• Ability to read, speak and write English to communicate with guests.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs continuously.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set banquet tables to meet the function specifications.
• Carry trays up to 50 lbs and serve food, beverage and condiments to banquet clients.
• Quietly remove china, glassware and silverware from tables at end of meal period.
• Set/display food and beverages on buffet tables for delivery to guests.
• Push large wheeled tables to and from the function room area.
• Serve guests and clear tables; deliver dirty china to kitchen.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Perform side work and restocking.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
