Job summary

Parks Hospitality Group in Asheville, NC is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to join our Food & Beverage team for weddings, parties and corporate events. You will set up banquet rooms, greet guests, serve food and beverages, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure flawless service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, previous banquet or hospitality experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a banquet or hospitality setting preferred.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements as needed.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely, courteous manner while adhering to service standards and alcohol regulations.
• Clear tables, remove used dishes, utensils, and glassware throughout the event.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Set up, monitor, refresh, and break down buffet tables and coffee stations as required.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Assist with event cleanup and resetting the room for the next event.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring proper handling of food and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas and equipment.
