Embassy Suites Asheville Downtown is seeking a Banquet Server to support our Food & Beverage team during weddings, parties, and conferences. You will set up banquet spaces, greet guests, and deliver professional service to create memorable experiences for attendees.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms per event specs, chairs, linens, and decorations.
• Greet guests and assist with seating as needed.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while following service standards.
• Clear tables and remove used dishes and glassware during events.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for timely service.
• Set up and refresh buffet tables and coffee stations.
• Respond to guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with event cleanup and room reset for next event.
• Maintain sanitation and safety guidelines and keep areas tidy.

You'll play a vital role in our event execution-ensuring exceptional, professional table service during special events and corporate conferences, and making sure every guest leaves with a lasting positive impression.

What You'll Do:

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements as needed.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely, courteous manner while adhering to service standards and alcohol regulations.
• Clear tables, remove used dishes, utensils, and glassware throughout the event.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Set up, monitor, refresh, and break down buffet tables and coffee stations as required.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Assist with event cleanup and resetting the room for the next event.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring proper handling of food and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas and equipment.

What You'll Need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a banquet or hospitality setting preferred.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
