Job summary

Farm 12 Restaurant & Events in Puyallup, WA seeks Banquet Servers and Bartenders for its premier event space and restaurant. You will engage guests, serve beverages, and help set up and close out events in a fast-paced, high-service environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in customer-facing roles, strong communication and leadership skills, and flexibility for weekends. Washington MAST certification and a Food Handler card are required.

We are recruiting Banquet Servers/Bartenders. We feature a newer high scale 125-seat restaurant, private room dining and a formal event hall that can accommodate up to 400+ guests, a scratch bakery + coffee shop with additional event space and we are currently implementing plans for additional growth in Puyallup, Washington.

What you can expect to do on the job:

• Engage with customers and create a welcoming and positive experience for guests.
• Can work within assigned role as a Banquet Server or Bartender as needed based on staffing needs for specific event.
• Attending to customers in an efficient and prompt manner.
• Present and overall best in class environment for all guests.
• Make and serve beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) by following recipes and client contract agreements.
• Set-up, maintain and breakdown bartender area.
• Ensure that all products, drinks, and cups are readily accessible and available for use during an event.
• Keep an eye out for potentially unsafe situations and ensure that no alcohol is consumed by minors; check IDs and respond appropriately when guests violate Washington state liquor law regulations serving regulations.
• Monitor and act if any safety concerns arise during an event.
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
• Adapt to change requirements as needed to accommodate guests.
• Ensure all company policies, safety and food handling standards are followed.
• Manage cash and credit transactions as needed and accurately manage such transactions.
• Ensure cash handling procedures and sales reports are maintained in accordance with company policy.
• Close-out events and ensure facility is ready for the next day events.
• Walk the facility to ensure it is up to Farm 12 standards and ready prior to event start times.
• Adapt to change requirements as needed to accommodate guests.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify managers of discrepancies.

Our ideal candidate has experience in a full-service food and service environment; preferably in management and who:

• Has a minimum of (2) years’ experience in a customer facing role preferably in serving or bartending in a restaurant or event environment.
• Has a passion for quality service and wants to give back to the community.
• Is a strong communicator who has experience in leading and motivating others as well as building customer relationships.
• Is extremely organized and accountable for their results.
• Is initiative-taking, can work well under pressure and can multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Can be flexible in his/her work schedule. Must have weekend/holiday availability.
• Embodies a team spirit in way that all parties working together bring success to a common goal.
• Has a Washington State MAST Certification and a current Washington State Health Department Food Handlers card.
• Pay starting at $17.13-17.68 per hour; dependent on background/education/experience.
• Weekly pay. In addition to hourly tips, servers and bartenders receive tips from a weekly tip pool. Bartenders have the potential to earn cash tips.
