InnVentures, operating Embassy Suites Tigard, OR, seeks a courteous Banquet Server to assist with events and guest service. Your role focuses on connecting with clients, delivering meals and maintaining event quality with attention to detail.

The position requires previous customer service or food service experience, and the ability to stand, move, and lift up to 25 pounds during shifts. Benefits and hotel familes are highlighted in the overview.

• Must obtain Food Handler's Certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to stand and move around for an entire shift.
• Must lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, service and clean conference rooms with a high level of detail.
• Respond to all requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Be creative and flexible with meeting special requests.
• Note changes or additions to banquet event orders and report them to the Event Manager.
• Assist with ordering and inventory for the meetings department.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in storage areas including securing A/V equipment.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment and handle last-minute client needs with ease.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.

Qualifications

Previous customer service experience and/or food service/fast food experience is required. All applicants must be able to acquire their Food Handler's Certification. To be successful in this role, you need strong verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to read, write, type and use various forms of technology. This position requires you to stand and move around for an entire shift. You must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
