Job summary

Enchantment Resort is seeking an energetic Banquet Server to assist with food and beverage service at events. You will arrive on time in uniform, set up and break down functions, polish service ware, and ensure a courteous guest experience under direction from the Banquet Captain.

The role requires neat grooming, adherence to BEOs, and a current food handler’s certification. Prior serving experience and strong English communication are preferred for collaboration with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must work well with or without direct supervision.
• Follow directions related to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Neat and well groomed at all times.
• Flexible, self-motivated with professional attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Maintain current food handler’s certification.
• Prior serving experience is desirable.
• English skills necessary to communicate with guests.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) including start times and menus.
• Arrive on time in uniform and ready to work.
• Polish china, glass and silverware; set up banquet functions.
• Provide banquet food and beverage service professionally and courteously.
• Work efficiently as part of a team; communicate challenges to the Banquet Captain.
• Return equipment and store items after functions.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a positive attitude toward guests and staff.

How you will enjoy your day: To facilitate banquet food and beverage service to each guest in an expedient, professional and courteous manner. Set-up and teardown of assigned functions

Work Performed:

1. Read and understand all particulars of Banquet Event Orders including start time and menus
2. Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work
3. Uniform must be neat and pressed
4. Collect all necessary equipment and bring to designated area(s)
5. Polish all china, glass and silverware
6. Assist in the set-up of banquet functions
7. Provide banquet food and beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner consistent with established standards and levels of excellence
8. Work efficiently and as a team
9. Expediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints or requests to the Banquet Captain
10. After function, remove and return all equipment to proper storage
11. Retrieve and store all china, glass and silverware to proper storage
12. Respond to the Banquet Captain’s instructions and directions
13. Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties
14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management
15. Report to Banquet Captain before ending work shift
16. Other duties as assigned

Supervision Received: Lead Server, Banquet Captain and Banquet Manager

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must work well with or without direct supervision. Must be able to interpret and follow directions related to BEO’s (Banquet Event Orders). Must be neat and well groomed at all times. Needs to be flexible, self motivated, positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-worker and management. Must maintain current food handler’s certification. Prior serving experience desired. English skills necessary to communicate with guests
