Job summary

Legends Global at the Knoxville Convention Center is seeking friendly, customer‑focused individuals for part‑time Banquet Server roles. Responsibilities include event setup, beverage service, buffet and plated service, and assisting with concessions and bartending when licensed.

Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. You will report to the Banquet Supervisor and Food & Beverage Manager, delivering high standards of service, safety, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the food and beverage service industry preferred.
• Must have good hygiene and a neat, conservative appearance.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Exemplary food and beverage service skills in a fine dining atmosphere.
• A strong commitment to exemplary customer service.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow ASM Standards of Service, Banquet Event Orders, and other policies and procedures.
• Must have ability to take/follow directions and remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and set-up of event room including collecting banquet equipment and setting tables.
• Prepare garnishes, beverages, condiments, and bread baskets.
• Clean and fill salt/pepper containers, sugar dishes, and creamers.
• Prepare tables with place settings as instructed.
• Fulfill service per BEOs and standards set by management, client, or banquet captain.
• Break down equipment and restore storage areas after events.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, guests, and co-workers.

The Knoxville Convention Center has excellent and immediate openings for part-time Banquet Servers. The Banquet Servers report to the Banquet Supervisor and Food and Beverage Manager and are responsible for all banquet functions which includes set-up, any beverage break, buffet, plated and reception events, etc. Position will also be eligible to work additional shifts in concessions and bartending (if you maintain a current TABC license).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist with preparation and set-up of event room including, but not limited to, the collection of all banquet equipment to include flatware, China, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event.
• Prepares garnishes, beverages, condiments, and bread baskets.
• Clean and fill salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers
• Prepare tables with place settings as instructed.
• Fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and/or any standards and instructions set by management, the Client, or Banquet Captain
• Breakdown banquet equipment and set-up after each event and then clean and return serving pieces to proper storage area.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers, guests, and co-workers.
• Compliant with all health and safety codes
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Education and/or Experience
