Job Overview

Responsibilities

1. Review and understand Banquet Event Orders or Event Plan to ensure banquet rooms are set as per the customer request.
2. Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts.
3. Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting and ensure guest satisfaction throughout meal service.
4. Deliver and serve welcome drinks, food, meals, condiments, and accompaniments.
5. Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.
6. Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc., from tables at the conclusion of the meal and deliver to the stewarding area.
7. Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
8. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
9. Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the banquet/meeting rooms.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in a similar role in an upscale hotel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Use judgment and reasoning to cope with emergencies.
• Knowledge of banquet and food service techniques and standards.
• Good personality and positive interpersonal skills.
• Dependability and regular attendance.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
