Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Harvey, LA, is seeking friendly restaurant servers to deliver fast, accurate food and beverage service. You will take orders, deliver meals promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining accurate menu knowledge.

Candidates should have High School Diploma or equivalent, strong English skills, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience in high-volume dining and wine service is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; prior high-volume restaurant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of wine service and table etiquette preferred.
• Must read/write/speak/understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, professional customer service to guests.
• Take and deliver food and beverages promptly, checking back for satisfaction.
• Maintain current menu knowledge including preparation techniques and ingredients.
• Suggest items to guests based on preferences.
• Resolve service issues according to established guidelines.
• Assist bussers with bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables.
• Maintain cleanliness of designated areas per health standards.
• Deep clean restaurant equipment as scheduled or required.
• Operate and maintain equipment according to safety procedures.
• Complete assigned side work as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality in all company matters.

• Provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff, and culinary production team.
• Takes food and beverage orders, delivers prepared food promptly, and checks with table periodically to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintains current and accurate information regarding menu (i.e., preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients, and plate presentation).
• Suggests items to guests based on expressed guest preferences.
• Resolves service issues according to established guidelines.
• Assists bus persons, as necessary, in bussing, cleaning, and setting tables.
• Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.
• Deep cleans restaurant equipment (tables, chairs, booths, soda and juice dispensers, coffee machines), as scheduled, or required.
• Operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
• Completes assigned side work as directed.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with previous food server experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of wine service, table service procedures, and table etiquette strongly preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow all departmental and property policies and procedures.
• Must be able and willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.
