Qualifications

Now Hiring: Banquet Server

Location: Marriott Hotel & Golf Club at Champions Circle, Fort Worth

Essential Responsibilities

  • Sets up all banquet function table linens, china, silverware, glassware and centerpieces.
  • Sets up waiting and beverage stations.
  • Sets up all perishable items for banquet service such as bread, butter and cream.
  • Serves all food and beverages to banquet guests.
  • Clears away all dishes and items used in the service of a banquet, including the linens.
  • Ensures the proper storage of all items from equipment to perishable foods.
  • Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Abides by OHM and hotel brand standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Prepares for future banquets by folding napkins, filling condiments, and performing other duties as required.
  • Relieves other team members allowing for breaks during the shift.
  • Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
  • Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
  • Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
  • Embrace O’Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, Team Member Satisfaction, Health & Wellness, and Safety culture.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel.)
  • Pleasant, polite, and maintains a neat and clean appearance.
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.
  • Strong leadership, management, organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to deliver results.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize.

Hours

  • Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1-year hospitality or banquet experience preferred.

Physical Requirements Of The Position

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
  • May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.

Physical Activity Of The Position

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.

Environmental Conditions

  • Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
