The Banquet Server will be responsible primarily for food and beverage service, clearing tables, set up and clean‑up of all banquet functions, and for exceeding the expectations of all guests. The role requires a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army and a professional representation of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.
The position requires sitting, climbing and/or balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, stretching, crouching and/or crawling; continuous standing, continuous walking; manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination; use of vision; continuous pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds without assistance, and occasionally up to 60 pounds with assistance.
The position requires talking to co‑workers, guests and vendors; written communication; telephone usage; responding to written or verbal requests; training and giving verbal and written instructions; receiving instructions; writing and composing; reading; visiting or working at other work sites; communicating via the latest technologies; interacting with co‑workers and the public in a positive, professional manner in accordance with The Salvation Army Mission Statement; and working with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
Most work will be indoors at the Kroc Center Hawaii Education & Resource Conference Center, classrooms, kitchen, administrative offices and other locations throughout the Center where banquet service may be needed. Attendance at trainings and conferences, both in Hawaii and on the mainland, may be required.
Equipment used includes general office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, scanners, printers, fax machines, telephone (office, cell, PDA), a 10‑key calculator, coffee and espresso machines, and other kitchen appliances.
