Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a banquet team member for Sheraton Erie to lead successful setup, service, and tear-down of banquet events, including coffee breaks, multi-meal dining, and bar operations. Weekend availability is required, and you will support Event Managers in owning and executing banquet functions.

You will work at the Sheraton Erie location as part of a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional guest experiences and professional hospitality execution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various food-service styles.
• Previous banquet or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and move for long periods of time and lift more than 10 pounds.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, service, clean-up, and tear-down of banquet events.
• Set tables, buffets, bars, and snack breaks as assigned.
• Professionally serve food and beverages tableside, at buffets, and buffets.
• Monitor areas to keep them clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Assist banquet team to deliver exceptional events for guests.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance as an ambassador of the hotel.
• Anticipate guest needs with exemplary hospitality and friendliness.
• Know menu items, contents, and garnishes and answer guest questions.
• Perform opening and closing duties and other tasks as assigned.

Position Information

Location: Sheraton Erie

Summary: This is a highly visible and key role responsible for the successful set-up, service, and tear down of all Banquet events to include coffeebreaks, 3-meal dining, and bar operations. This person is responsible for assisting the Event Managers in the successful ownershipand operational execution of Banquet Functions and duties. Must be available weekends!

• Professionally serve food and beverages butler-style, tableside, and from buffets.
• Monitor tables, buffets, and breaks to keep them clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Assist other members of the banquet team to deliver a phenomenal event that exceeds guest expectations.
• Be an ambassador of the hotel by maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
• Anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality while always exhibiting professionalism and friendliness.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes; accurately answer any guest questions.
• Perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
