Job summary

Myers Park Country Club is seeking a Banquet Server to support our event operations for private and club functions. You will serve catered food and beverages to members and guests, setup and breakdown banquet areas, and ensure attentive, courteous service.

The role requires reading BEOs, ability to carry trays, and the stamina to stand and move through events for extended periods. Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Read and execute a Banquet Event Order (BEO) with ability to set tables and buffets to specifications.
• Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned functions.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Three to six months related experience preferred.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 25lbs; occasionally lift and carry up to 35lbs.
• Remain on feet, standing and walking for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve all catered food and beverage items to members and guests during private and club event functions.
• Transfer food from the kitchen to dining rooms by carrying trays; serve and remove dishes as instructed.
• Utilize proper service techniques, such as serving from the left and clearing from the right.
• Perform all assigned side work and duties.
• Assist in closing functions by removing linen, bussing glasses, silverware, and dishes.

• Transfer food from the kitchen to the dining rooms by carrying trays; be able to serve and remove dishes as instructed


• Facilitate proper service techniques, such as serving from the left and clearing from the right


• Serve and clear food and beverages quietly, professionally, and quickly


• Perform all assigned side work and duties


• Assist in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, bussing glasses, silverware, dishes, and etc.
