Job summary

Mesquite Gaming Employment Center is seeking banquet servers to provide excellent banquet dining service to guests at the CasaBlanca and Virgin River Hotels in Southern Nevada. This position requires a minimum of 2 years in banquet or food service, the ability to carry 8–10 meals on a tray (up to 50 pounds), and strong teamwork and customer interaction skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of banquet or food service experience.
• Capable of carrying 8 to 10 meals on a tray (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to understand and follow directions from the Manager.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and interact with customers.
• Adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner.
• Ensure food and beverage is served with consistent presentation and proper temperature.
• Assist in food, beverage, equipment, meeting supplies, china, glass, and silverware setup; ensure proper handling and storing of all equipment.
• Enforce all sanitation procedures including safety guidelines and OSHA requirements.
• Communicate special requests, guest problems, or concerns to the Banquet Captain, Banquet Manager, or Executive Chef.
• Follow opening and closing procedures to ensure areas are secure.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
