Job summary

The Mint Gaming Hall is seeking part-time team members to handle guest requests with courtesy and effective communication. You will solve problems and demonstrate good judgement, addressing guest concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down meeting and meal rooms, greeting guests, and coordinating with supervisors. Must lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, swings, weekends and holidays.
• Must obtain required work cards and non-gaming registration as required by local jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Assists with setup and cleanup of meeting and meal function rooms.
• Greet guests in a friendly manner and provide BIG service.
• Ensure water, amenities, AV, and breaks are in rooms 15 minutes before meetings.
• Transact guest charges for additional equipment and supplies as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and energy conservation guidelines.

SCOPE:

We are looking for Part Time Team Members to facilitate all customer requests in a timely and courteous manner. Must possess the ability to problem solve and address guest concerns through effective communication skills and the ability to demonstrate good judgement to include seeking management's assistance as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completes all work assignments and follows all instructions directed by supervisor or shift leader.
• Ensures all water, amenities, audio-visual and breaks are in room at least 15 minutes prior to start of meeting.
• Complies with all customer needs for additional equipment and supplies and conveys the additional charge to the guest
• Displays good customer relation skills
• Takes initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner.
• Sets up and cleans all meeting and meal function rooms in accordance with company and hotel specification.
• Freshens all meeting rooms during meal breaks by replacing ashtrays, changing cloths if necessary, refilling candy jars, replacing water glasses, refilling water pitchers, and removing garbage from meeting areas and break tables.
• Assists with meal service and breakdown as needed. Assists in getting banquet guest checks signed and turned in to the front office for proper posting.
• Follows all energy conservation guidelines as well as safety procedures.
• To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted?
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
• Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
• Must be able to obtain required work cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass any and all required background checks.
