Job summary

Landmark Hotel Group in Nags Head, NC, is seeking a part-time Banquet Operations team member to help set up and run events with a focus on guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Properly set up and decorate all events, including tables, chairs, décor, and equipment
• Greet and assist attendees as they arrive

• Resolve complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Troubleshoot issues during events; assist with audio/visual equipment and hanging decorations
• Break down, clean up, and store event materials after completion

Summary of the Position: The Banquet Operations should be a detail-oriented, multi-tasker who enjoys physical activity and staying busy during their shift. This is a part time position with great schedule flexibility or can be full time with additional responsibilities. The proper candidate is someone who takes pride in making sure that an event goes smoothly and enjoys making additional money outside of their regular paycheck as well.

Core Responsibilities:

• Properly set up and decorate all events. This includes but is not limited to tables, chairs, décor & equipment setup
• Greet and assist attendees as they arrive
• Answer questions and direct guests in the right direction
• Resolve complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the event
• Assists customers in hanging decorations, including banners and lights; assists customers with audio/visual equipment as necessary
• Must be able to prepare tables, action stations, buffets, etc., to company standards and serve plated dinner, buffet breakfast
• Break down, clean up, and store event materials after completion
• Maintains rooms, furniture, and equipment in a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure condition during events
• Performs inventories of cleaning supplies, event supplies, and kitchen equipment both before and after events
• Balance multiple priorities and meet timelines

Qualifications:

• Available irregular hours & weekends

• Initiative and the ability to work independently
