Job summary

HCW Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to set up, maintain and breakdown banquet spaces for a variety of events. You will prepare rooms to high presentation standards, handle tables, chairs, linens, and equipment, and support the banquet team to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety in handling equipment, and a proactive service mindset. Candidates should be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as event schedules require.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in banquet setup or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on event schedules.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to guest service.

• Respond to guest requests during events to provide exceptional service.

• Ensure banquet spaces are clean, organized and ready for the next event after a function.
• Maintain safety by following proper lifting and setup procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the banquet department and hotel operations.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with banquet staff to ensure timely execution of setups, breakdowns, and resets between events.


• Assist with moving and arranging audio/visual equipment as needed for various functions.


• Respond to guest requests during events to provide exceptional service and meet their needs.


• Communicate with the banquet team and management to address any event-related issues or special requests.


• Ensure that banquet spaces are clean, organized, and ready for the next event immediately after a function.


• Maintain safety standards by following proper procedures when lifting or moving heavy objects and setting up equipment.


• Perform other duties as assigned to support the banquet department and overall hotel operations.
